Address the flat

Hi friends,
Hope you're well.

This morning I heard something that really resonated with me. A TikToker I follow shared this analogy:

If you had to deliver a package to someone and got a flat tire on the way, what's the most productive thing you could do to accomplish your mission? The answer isn't to keep driving on the flat. The most productive thing you can do is stop and address the tire.

That landed hard for me, especially because my attention has been pulled in so many directions lately. When I get into that mode, I tend to push — trying to make things happen, trying to get things done. Staying up later than I should, skipping breaks that would actually replenish me.

It's easy to fall into a "should" mindset. The kind where productivity gets confused with endurance, and tending to yourself feels like a delay instead of part of the work. But no matter how capable you are, you can only go so far on empty.

So I've been asking myself, "What would support me right now?"
Not as a reward for pushing harder, but as a prerequisite for continuing on.

If this resonates, I invite you to tend to something small that might lift you up today.

A Prompt & An Affirmation
What does support look like for me today — not just in theory, but in practice?
I lovingly address my needs and move forward with clarity.

Astro Note ✨
As Uranus stations direct in Taurus, we are reminded that sustainable change happens when our foundations are cared for. Small adjustments made now can support long-term staility over short-term urgency.

May what you tend to today make the road ahead a little steadier. Til next time...
xo,
Christen

Christen Hong Coaching 4/29/26 Sometimes I find myself in this pattern during seasons of rest or rut. I believe in cycles. I know there are times for growth and times for pause. And still, when I'm not working consistently and someone asks me how I've been doing, I feel myself scrambling to come up with something that I think will sound productive or worthy in their eyes. Part of this is being a product of a capitalist society that equates worth with output. I know that I'm not limited by...

Blue interior with geometric shadows and skylights

Christen Hong Coaching 4/15/26 Hi friends, Lately, I've been feeling the whole spectrum of emotions. Personally, I've been on the edge of endings and beginnings, a time full of possibility and refocus, and also unknowns and "what ifs". If I'm being honest, I've been letting myself lean more into the vastness of uncertainty instead the excitement of what's next. And that can be overwhelming. It's easy for me to fall into a pattern of not feeling worthy, and boy have I been doing that. Feeling...

Rock arch under a starry night sky

Christen Hong Coaching 3/4/26 Hi friends, The thing about time is that it's relentless. It keeps moving. And lately, it's been a lot. Non-stop. The headlines are heavy. Prices are high. AI has made it nearly impossible to tell what's real or fake. Summer is coming. It's enough to make you scream. With all of that, it's easy to want to give up, to go to bed, disassociate. And if you need the rest, you should. Listen to your body - it's smart. But loves, don't get stuck there. Remember: the...
