Three messages for June: Devotion, Presence, Ritual ๐Ÿ”ฎ

Hi friends,

I've been using the astro-planner from my fave astrologer, Chani Nichols, and each month it prompts you to do a card pull for the month ahead. It's become reflection practice I genuinely look forward to, and this month's cards brought me some much-needed insight (and comfort), so I wanted to share them here with you.

The prompt is to pull 3 cards (I usually reach for my beautiful Untamed Elemental oracle deck) while reflecting on the following themes:

  • Card 1: What is ready to be released
  • Card 2: What skills could be helpful if developed
  • Card 3: What to call in or move toward

Here's the messages that came through:

Card 1 - Moon | Devotion
โ€‹
This card ask us to reflect on where we're placing our devotion, and is it aligned with our values and desires? My May felt kind of scattered. It's pretty easy for me to waste time, and because I try to be compassionate with myself, I can sometime swing too far into self-permission and avoid taking action on the things that matter most to me. This card was a good reminder to examine my patterns and redirect my energy toward the life I'm trying to create.

Card 2 - Divine Masculine | Presence
โ€‹
This card reminds us that magic happens in the present moment. Its message aligns perfectly with a mantra I've been turning to lately: I'm always at the right place at the right time. Since adopting that perspective, I've noticed small but meaningful shifts. When something delays me or doesn't go according to plan, I remember that mantra and stay open/curious. More often than not, I end up seeing why I was meant to be in that situation. I've run into people I wanted to talk to. I've stumbled across ideas that inspire me. I've been delighted by the beauty of nature around me that I had somehow not yet noticed. Remembering that what happens in the present shapes what unfolds next has made it easier to seek joy where I am instead of constantly chasing what's ahead or worrying about the future. And it feels real good.

Card 3 - Cloud | Ritual
โ€‹
This card encourages creating rituals that support what you're calling in. Whether it's visualizing your intentions, checking in with your thoughts and actions, or simply creating moments of consistency, ritual helps transform desire into participation. It asks us to become conscious creators in our lives rather than passive observers. And it reminds us that consistency can be healing. Sometimes there is breakthrough in returning to what matters again and again.

Astro Note โœจ
Venus conjoins Jupiter on Tuesday the 9th, and will be one of the sweetest astrological alignments of the year. Venus is about love, pleasure, connection and beauty while Jupiters expands to whatever it touches. This can be a lovely day to savor life's little joys, spend time with people you love, celebrate something meaningful, or simply notice what's already good. Bringing gratitude and openness to the day may make it easier to recognize the abundance that's already finding its way to you.

Thank you for being here. I'm looking forward to putting the lessons I gained from this practice to use. I hope at least one of these cards speaks to you, too.

xo,
Christen

Christen Hong Coaching 8/25/26 Hi friends, I recently heard a song lyric that has helped shift my perspective in a really positive way. It goes: "I'll stop fighting what I can withstand." You see, this summer I've been finding myself getting annoyed with little things. My work schedule colliding with plans I wanted to make, trying to deal with the heat, online drama I didn't need to absorb, etc. Every time I let one of those things in, it made me irritated in a way that didn't feel good, and...

Christen Hong Coaching 8/9/26 Hi friends, Most Friday mornings I indulge in a ritual where I'll go to my favorite coffee shop and spend time reflecting on my week: documenting what I did in my calendar, journaling about how I've been feeling or if something specific happened, figuring out things I want to focus on, working through limiting beliefs. I love this. It's a reprieve that I look forward to every week. This works for me because, obviously, I love introspection. It excites me to come...

Christen Hong Coaching 7/10/26 Hi friends, In my neighborhood there is a pond that I like to walk around that is a potent reminder of the abundance that surrounds us all the time. There is so much to appreciate, evidence of how much we have already received. Though the loop is less than a mile, you pass through several different worlds. One stretch runs alongside a field of sunflowers, yellow buds in rows upon rows, a dELiA's catalogue kind of dream. Then you round the bend under a stretch of...
